Message for the Thursday group (L3)

Dear students (the Thursday group),

As agreed today, since there will be no class on May 8th, we will have class on Monday, May 5th, from 8 to 10 am at La Sorbonne - Serpente (28 rue Serpente), room D116 (on the first floor).

I hope you will all come since this catch-up class is only meant for you and for a better preparation for your final exam.

I strongly recommend that you submit summaries for a better preparation for the second and last exam.

I also strongly recommend that you prepare extensively and in advance the reports we are going to study :

  • Lethal Injection Debate + Handout on the Death Penalty in America
  • Maathai The Interview BBC 24 March 2007 + article by Maathai ("Nature, Nurture, Culture")

Otherwise the link remains the same and it should work for most of you :

Message for the Tuesday and Thursday L3 groups

Dear students (the Tuesday and Thursday groups)

You are all required to rewrite entirely your papers I returned last week. Correct all the mistakes and rewrite those sections and paragraphs of your paper that were wrongly worded and answered.

The better you will rewrite your paper, the higher grade and points you will get.

If you fail to correct the mistakes, you will be downgraded !

You will have to return the original paper so that I can see the mistakes you have corrected.

For technical reasons I could not understand, some of you have not been able to have easy access to the reports. In this case only, you can email me and I will send the reports to you by email.

I strongly recommend that during the holidays you revise the reports we have studied (+ the handouts), the vocabulary lists and the idiomatic expressions.

I also very strongly recommend that you listen to the BBC World Service or PBS or ABC for half an hour minimum EVERY DAY.

There are thousands of programs you can download (sometimes with transcripts) for free and listen on your MP3 player.

Best regards,

Mounir Nassor
