Second Main Exam: May 16

This second main exam (90 minutes maximum) on May 16 will cover:


1/Vocabulary:     
- Government and Politics: the entire handout
- Reading comprehension texts:   
     a) History of Advertising
     b) Learning Methods 
     c) Teaching teachers
- Listening comprehension vocabulary ("March 21 exam audio reports") 
- Idioms and expressions: "animals", "character and personality" and "colors": you will have to find the idioms in both languages: from French into English and English into French and translate your answers and/or complete the notes. 
Example1: 

  Question (complete the idiom): it's raining ...and ... !
   your answer:  
    - it's raining CATS and DOGS 
    - translation: "il pleut des cordes!"

Example 2: 

  Question (translate): il pleut des cordes!
  your answer: it's raining cats and dogs!
2/Grammar (in translation): you will have to translate sentences in French into English using the structures from the chapters we have covered so far ie:
- chapters 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 (passive voice): BONUS POINTS 
- chapters 105, 106, 107 and 108 (comparative and superlative structures)
3/ There will be a reading comprehension exercise (unknown text) and a listening comprehension exercise (unknown report), you will hear this unknown report only twice.

Reminders:

1/ There will be no catch-up session whatsoever, even if you have a valid and sincere justification. Please do arrive on time if not in advance!
2/ Attendance is compulsoryunlike in L2 and in M1, there is no "contrôle final" in L3 because the English course is optional in L3. Should the students be absent 3 times (ie 2 + 1) without providing a valid and sincere justification, their semester grade will be impacted by - 30% (example: if a student's semester grade is 10/20 and is absent 3 times without justification, their grade will be: 10 x (-30%) = 07/20.
3/ Second short vocab test: May 23
